I was a volunteer with Blossom Trust for four and a half months. During this time I worked with the management, staff, volunteers, and the children to improve the system of waste management at Dayspring Home. I also taught basic computer skills to 6 of the oldest children here. It was hard work but all worth is as I believe I have contributed positively to the lives of the children here and it was a meaningful experience for me. On my part I have gained immensely in terms of learning how to communicate better and to create social change. I am grateful for this opportunity that Blossom Trust gave to me.

I spent nearly 6 months with Blossom Trust, during my year off from studies. I wanted to feel connected to people in need, and to gain an insight into development projects. I found exactly what I was looking for, and now find myself saying exactly what I had been hearing before: If there is one place you need to choose to travel, go to India.” – Tara, Korea | December 2015

Blossom is a Good place with a capital “G”. I’ve done a good amount of volunteering in the last six months and Blossom is the organization that it most warmed my heart to be part of. They do so many different things and you can see that they really do care and that they really are making a difference in the community!  The kids are sweet and fun and good-crazy. I found it really nice to hang out with the kids in the evening and also to have the change of going to the office and spending time in town during the day. Virudhunagar is a really nice and colorful town with small streets and friendly people. Though you can certainly stay and work on the farm during the day instead if that’s your thang.  I stayed two weeks but it felt short. I had just really gotten down all the kids names by the time I left!  Overall it was a great experience. It was a pleasure to spend time with the good people and the good kids. ” – Samantha, USA | November 2015

Wow, what a great place filled with great people. I spent two weeks here in September 2015 and loved every minute. I worked half on the farm/with the children and half at the office. I learned so much about NGOs/NPOs, the staff are so friendly and the children are so much fun, dancing and singing. -definitely recommend- ” – Mitchell, Australia | September 2015

A wonderful volunteering time! Everything is made possible around here to make you feel at home. Working at the office for fundraising and other projects was great. At the farm, you can easily get your hands dirty and help on numerous projects. And at the orphanage, everyone is considered brother and sister. Working with such cheerful and loving kids is pure pleasure.
In this environment of simplicity, sobriety and compassion, we have spent ten wonderful days at Blossom and have done as much as we could to help around in various areas. The moments we shared at the orphanage are priceless and will stay with us forever. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the awesome team of Blossom organisation. If you go in this part of India, we highly recommend you stop there!” – Ludovic and Cecile, France | November 2014

I’m leaving here today after a 5 weeks of volunteer work. I had a wonderful time here. The team of Blossom took care of me as a member of the family. The director showed me around the goods sights and I feel that it is really important for her that the volunteers enjoy their stay here.
The highlight if my experience was definitely, the stay at the orphanage. The kids are lovely and the accommodation is more than perfect. Merry the cook take care good care of volunteers and her food is really good and tasty.
I highly recommend this organization. ” – Marie-Pier, Canada | August 2013
