Our children’s home is located in Chitoor, a rural village of the Madurai District and is home to 30 children between the ages of 3 and 18. The children here have all been affected by HIV/AIDS and/or TB in some respect – orphaned by the disease, infected themselves and then rejected by their families or can no longer be supported by infected parent(s).

Blossom is responsible for all day-to-day running of the Home. This includes: medical expenses, educational needs, three meals a day, clothes and social support. We rely on private donations to cover operating expenses – roughly USD $11,500 per year. For upkeep and improvements to the home, we rely on volunteers.

What You Can Do

Volunteers and their contribution, through donations and taking care of the children, have been an indispensable part of Dayspring. For more information about volunteering please click here.

Dayspring Home only needs $11,500 per year to operate and relies on your donations to support these children. Various fundraising initiatives are organised by Blossom to ensure the financial requirements of the home are met. Find out more about how to donate here.

A small contribution can make a large difference in a child’s life:

$10 will support a child for over a week
$25 will support a child for a month
$150 will support a child for six months
$300 will support a child for a year
